LumiqTrace offers four plans — Free, Pro, Team, and Scale — each with a fixed monthly event quota, data retention window, and limits on projects and members. Billing is managed through Stripe; you can upgrade, downgrade, update your payment method, and download invoices all from within the LumiqTrace dashboard.

Overage billing

On the Pro and Team plans, if your organization exceeds the monthly event quota, additional events are billed at 0.50per10,000events.OntheScaleplan,theoveragerateis0.50 per 10,000 events**. On the **Scale** plan, the overage rate is **0.30 per 10,000 events. On the Free plan, there is no overage — once you hit 10,000 events in a billing month, additional events are dropped and not recorded. Upgrade to Pro or higher if you need to capture all events.
Overage charges are calculated at the end of each billing period and added to your next invoice. You can monitor your current event count against your quota in Settings > Billing at any time.

Viewing current usage

Go to Settings > Billing to see your month-to-date event count alongside your plan’s monthly quota. The usage bar updates as events are ingested, so you can track how close you are to your limit throughout the month.

Upgrading or downgrading your plan

1

Open billing settings

Navigate to Settings > Billing in your organization.
2

Click Upgrade (or Change plan)

Select the plan you want to move to. You’ll be redirected to a Stripe-hosted checkout page.
3

Complete payment in Stripe

Enter or confirm your payment details. Stripe handles all card processing — LumiqTrace never stores your card information.
4

Confirm the plan change

Once Stripe confirms the payment, your new plan limits take effect immediately. Your dashboard will reflect the updated event quota, retention window, and member limits.
When upgrading mid-month, Stripe prorates the charge for the remaining days in your billing period. When downgrading, the lower limits take effect at the start of your next billing period.

Managing payment and invoices

LumiqTrace uses the Stripe Customer Portal for all payment management. To access it:
  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Manage billing (or Customer portal).
  3. You’ll be redirected to Stripe, where you can:
    • Update your credit card or payment method
    • Download past invoices as PDFs
    • View upcoming invoice details
    • Update your billing address or tax ID

Cancelling your subscription

Cancellation is irreversible once the billing period ends. Downgrading to Free reduces your quota, retention, project, and member limits. Data older than 7 days will no longer be accessible after the retention window shrinks.
To cancel, open the Stripe Customer Portal from Settings > Billing and cancel your subscription there. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your organization moves to the Free plan:
  • Event quota resets to 10K/month
  • Data retention reduces to 7 days (older data becomes inaccessible)
  • You are limited to 1 project and 1 member
If you have more than 1 project or more than 1 member at the time of downgrade, existing projects and members are not automatically removed — but you will need to reduce them to stay within Free plan limits to avoid restrictions.
